Now celebrating its Tenth Anniversary Season - The Broward Center for the Performing Arts has hosted Tony Award winning shows including: "Miss Saigon," "Phantom of the Opera," "Les Miserables" and "Sunset Boulevard." The first curtain went up on February 26, 1991 for the inaugural performance of "the Phantom of the Opera." During the past decade the Broward Center has taken its place along with the most respected performing arts centers in the country.

Contemporary Dance and Pop Music in Fort Lauderdale Florida

This upcoming season will demonstrate the appreciation of contemporary dance. Some of the most extraordinary contemporary talents include Limon Dance Company, Paul Taylor's Taylor 2 and the Lisa Giobbi Movement Theater. The diverse cultures, ages and personalities intertwined in Fort Lauderdale abound through our popular music presentations on the Moran Stage. Who else but Tony Bennett, of silver voice and sultry song, could anoint the theater's 10th year celebration, along with the likes of Smokey Robinson, Johnny Mathis, Paul Anka and others.

Sounds of Country to Florida Grand Opera and Ballet

The Miami City Ballet has been imported to bring more diversity to the program. Upcoming titles include Othello, Manon, Katya Kabanova, The Barber of Seville, Tosca, Ballet For Young People and more.
